Bio
I am from a small town in South Carolina, from a family of educators and a culture of farming. At an early age I rejected both, swore I'd never have anything to do with either and study art. Ironically, I now work for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (for the second time) and am pursuing a Masters of Education.
I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from UGA and have been working as a web designer in the academic community since 1999. Thanks to exposure to Instructional Technology via graduates of the program, I began using Flash in 2001 and have enjoyed every minute of it since! I have produced interactions for the Department of Family and Child Services, the University Health Center, the US Department of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension, Georgia 4-H and others. I enjoy learning anything I possibly can through the projects I've been involved in--especially about different facets of life, health, culture, and human progress.
My goal at present is to better create instructional products instead of simply winging it with graphic design principles. While these principles are key, I wish to learn more about the how and why of effective instructional design and development. epitts@uga.edu |
